Each year we offer fantastic opportunities for those interested in big thinking and ideas, enthusiasts and students to support our festival.
We require an exceptional team of around 30 volunteers to assist with a variety of roles.
Do I need any prior experience?
You do not require any prior experience but we do request that you sign up for a minimum of two front of house sessions or the equivalent time on other festival jobs. You’ll also need to be available to attend a volunteers’ training session.
Example volunteer duties
- Speaker transport
- Programme distribution
- Scanning tickets
- Setting & resetting of venues
- Assisting with door sales
- Supporting the festival team in the office with admin tasks
What will I get in return for volunteering my time?
A festival T-shirt and an opportunity to see some some fantastic speakers.
Is there an age restriction?
How long will I be needed for?
Roles vary in length, but we try our best to keep shifts to around four hours maximum.
How do I become a volunteer?
If you would like to join our team of ‘unpaid lovers of the arts’, then please contact Anna on firstname.lastname@example.org
Can I watch the speaker during the shift?
Absolutely… as long as you’re still ‘on the job’ we encourage everyone to watch and enjoy!
